Repeat Row 2 until panel measures approximately 13–15 inches tall.

Fasten off.

Make a second identical panel.

Color Changes (Optional but Recommended)

To achieve the colorful look in the photo:

Change yarn color every 1–2 rows.
Fasten off and join new color at beginning of next row.
Weave in ends securely.

You can also hold two strands together for a chunky, textured effect.

Joining the Bag

Place panels right sides facing each other.

Using matching yarn:

Single crochet evenly along both sides and bottom to join.
Do not crochet across the top.

Turn bag right side out.

Attaching the Round Handle

Fold the top edge of the bag over the wooden ring about 1.5 inches.

Using yarn and yarn needle:

Sew or single crochet the folded edge around the ring securely.

Repeat for the other side if using two handles.
If using one large ring (as in the image), center the bag evenly before attaching.

Optional Top Border

Attach yarn at top edge.

Round 1:
Work sc evenly around top opening.

Round 2 (optional decorative edge):
Work crab stitch (reverse sc) or simple slip stitch round.

Fasten off.

Optional Lining

Cut fabric to match bag size.
Sew sides and bottom.
Insert inside bag and stitch along top edge for extra durability.

Customization Ideas

Use pastel yarn for spring bags.
Use neutral tones for a boho look.
Add tassels to the corners.
Insert zipper for a secure closure.
Use metallic yarn for festive style.
