Hi my darlings! It’s always a great pleasure to see you here again. We hope you were able to enjoy the weekend to recover your energies and be close to your family and special people. This week we are going to learn a lot of new things and patterns. All with lots of color and lots of joy to inspire you. To get started, let’s learn the Lynx Block. Blocks are very versatile.
You can find them as decoration items around the house, they can be used as centerpieces, cushion covers. When we make several and sew them together, we can make quilts and table runners. Anyway, they are smaller patterns, faster to make and that look beautiful in many different pieces. Let your creativity flow, see decoration photos of different environments and get inspired to use these cool blocks.
In this pattern, cutting and sewing is not difficult. To start, we always recommend ironing the fabric, leaving it very straight and smooth. It may seem silly, but when it comes to marking, cutting and sewing, it makes a lot of difference to have a smooth fabric. Start by cutting the largest pieces, even with great care mistakes can happen during the process.

If this is the case, you can still use the same scrap to cut the smaller pieces without wasting the fabric. Always make the markings on the wrong side of the fabric. If any unwanted marks remain on the fabric, they will not appear in the final block. As for colors and prints, choose the ones you like the most. Take the opportunity to risk combinations, let creativity flow.
Not sure if you’ll like the result? Assemble the pattern before you start sewing and get an idea of how the block will look. Now it’s time to start sewing. The lynx block pattern is available in Flamingo Toes, with measurements, material list and step by step. There is also a video tutorial available for you, so you can sew the lynx block together with the designer of the piece.
We hope you like and enjoy this pattern a lot. Don’t forget to comment what you think, we’re keeping an eye on everything and looking forward to your feedback. This is just our first pattern of the week, we are waiting for you here again tomorrow, to learn another beautiful craft. See you soon!
